Tough. Tuned. NEW.
Possessing twice the tensile strength of High-Modulus carbon fiber, Fiber-X employs damping characteristics to deliver a trail-tuned ride while increasing durability - durable enough to withstand a double impact of 120 joules at the same location. The Fiber-X material is blended into all of Mercury’s X-Series wheels and is visible by its distinguishable silver stripe. Rim profiles feature an optimized trapezoidal profile that funnels trail input into the elastic material to dissipate energy and avoid failure. All X-series wheels feature off-set rim beds, embossed logos, hook-less beads and are available in widths ranging from 25~40mm internally. At their center, is Mercury’s proprietary Axis straight-pull hub featuring triple stepped 6 pawl system to deliver 3.5° of engagement. All current wheel diameters, axle sizes and freehub standards are supported.
Perfect for your shred sled.
The 2019 Enduro class wheels features an updated, redesigned lower profile hoop, ready to run any size tire from a svelte 2.2, all the way up to a big 2.8. A 28 spoke-count for the front and rear keeps things light while not compromising strength. Its all built around our Mercury Disc hubs, using Sapim Race double-butted spokes, paired with Sapim brass nipples for a durable and reliable wheel that can be easily serviced for a long life and many seasons of shredding. The rims are laser welded for a seamless, balanced rim and they have a pronounced bead socket in addition to a flat rimbed that makes setting up tubeless a breeze. Our two cross lacing pattern gives it great lateral stiffness, while giving a small amount of compliance vertically, adding up to a sure-footed, comfortable, precise steering wheelset. Whether you are looking to update your bike with a lighter, stronger set of wheels or you want something that corners and climbs better than what you have, this is the wheelset for you.

Like our Enduro hoops, these are laser welded for a balanced and tremendously strong rim.
Although it is most comfortably paired with a wider tire, its happy to run anything from a 2.4 all the way up to a 3.5. This is a model in versatility when it comes to your bike; the wheelset can handle enduro riding over roots, rocks, and dirt in the summer and frosty snow packed trails in the winter. You don't need a full-on fat bike to have fat fun.
Many companies are offering "27.5+ Compatible" 29ers these days, and having a mid-fat wheelset in your quiver is key to being able to conquer any trail, under any conditions.

The X Enduro Alloy rim is 34mm wide, 20.5mm deep, 6061 series alloy and sleeve-joined after extrusion. A fine bead blast finish keeps them looking new and free of minor dings and scrapes longer than a polished or anodized finish. They are built around our Mercury Disc six-bolt, 28 spoke count hubs using Sapim Race double-butted spokes to trim weight where we can, while not detracting from durability, or reliability. Brass, not alloy, nipples are used in order to minimize any oxidation that can weaken and degrade nipples over time, which makes for easier maintenance and truing without the threat of rolling or breaking nipples. In addition the front and rear hubs are able to run thru axle, or with a conversion kit run a QR set-up. The rims are tubeless compatible, with a 1.5mm bead socket making setting up tubeless hassle-free. In addition to easy tubeless conversion, the front, and rear hubs are running the same bearings across the board (6902-2rs), which makes for an easy repair if the bearings ever need replacing after several seasons.View full product details
