Our 2018 XC line up has been redesigned for the new season to get your XC rig up the mountain and over the line faster than ever before. With many riders using wider, and wider tires these days, you may think that XC specific wheelsets are going by the wayside- not here at Mercury. Whether you are a serious XC racer, or just prefer the classic ride characteristics of a skinnier rim and traditional width tire, this wheelset is right up your alley. They can pick their way up a technical rock stairset as confidently as a Nepalese mountain goat, rip downhill, and corner with the precision of a surgeons scalpel.
Two acronyms that you will get used to hearing with this wheelset will be- K.O.M., and P.R.! Our XC wheels are all about efficiency, and getting every last watt from your legs transferred to the trail. The rim is a solid 30mm wide, and 24mm deep providing a stiff, responsive, yet forgiving ride. Our hand built wheels are laced two-cross with Sapim Double butted spokes, and alloy nipples to trim weight, all centered around our sealed-bearing, Mercury designed hubs that can convert from thru axle to QR easily so you can use it on your whole fleet of bikes, regardless of drop out standards. The set comes in at a respectable 1,644g. Which is only about 100g heavier than the competitions full carbon XC options, at about half the price.
Mercury supports standard 100mm and boost 110mm front wheel 15mm thru-axle systems. We can convert thru-axles to accommodate quick releases if your fork requires the use of a quick release. Front axle specifications are provided by your fork manufacturer. Rear axle configuration is determined by your frame. You can find most in the specs section of the manufacturer website.

The M3c is our lightest, most responsive clincher road wheelset on offer. Coming in at 1,485 grams for the set, they are your express ticket to the top of the pass and the front of the peloton.
The updated profile of the rim is a razors-edge balance of aerodynamic capability, and the strength and rigidity that out-of-saddle grinds to the top demand. The rim measures 36mm deep, and 24mm wide to accommodate a wide array of tire choices. With the internal width of 20mm, including a 2mm bead socket, a 25mm tire makes an ideal shape and larger tires can expand to their full volume with less pressure, further decreasing rolling resistance and improving traction and handling.
As always, our M series are built with bladed Sapim spokes and alloy nipples.

The new 2018 Enduro class wheels features an updated, redesigned lower profile hoop, ready to run any size tire from a svelte 2.2, all the way up to a big 2.8. The X Enduro Alloy rim is 34mm wide, 20.5mm deep, 6061 series alloy and sleeve-joined after extrusion. A fine bead blast finish keeps them looking new and free of minor dings and scrapes longer than a polished or anodized finish. They are built around our Mercury Disc six-bolt, 28 spoke count hubs using Sapim Race double-butted spokes to trim weight where we can, while not detracting from durability, or reliability. Brass, not alloy, nipples are used in order to minimize any oxidation that can weaken and degrade nipples over time, which makes for easier maintenance and truing without the threat of rolling or breaking nipples. In addition the front and rear hubs are able to run thru axle, or with a conversion kit run a QR set-up. The rims are tubeless compatible, with a 1.5mm bead socket making setting up tubeless hassle-free. In addition to easy tubeless conversion, the front, and rear hubs are running the same bearings across the board (6902-2rs), which makes for an easy repair if the bearings ever need replacing after several seasons.View full product details
